What is this?

Deep adaptation is an emergent field of research and practice concerned with understanding, anticipating, and responding to irreversible and accelerating global climate disasters. It encompasses various interventions that address the social, ecological, and economic dimensions of climate catastrophes, addressing not only the effects but also the root causes of the crisis. Deep adaptation is not only concerned with crisis management or short-term policy implementation, but rather adopts a holistic approach that addresses how we live together in the world, and drives systemic and long-term changes to combat urgent environmental, social, and economic problems.
